Built behavior

The bridge between Neurology, Psychology and Architecture

There is a connection between our mind, body and the built environment as our extended body. Architecture is able to influence the behavior of the people. The experience within the built space has significant effects on the user. By learning exactly how our built surroundings are affecting the brain of the user, we could gain knowledge to design smarter concepts to improve our wellbeing.

It is smart to think about the different areas within the design process, that will affect our wellbeing; such as air, water, light, movement, temperature, sound, materials, color, scents, plants, forms and shapes. Especially biophillic or ecological designs are based on evidence, and can show positive impacts on our health when used accordingly. [2]
